Author: Rosaria Battista

With a Bachelor’s in Political Science and an MSc in Urban Management and Development, Rosaria began her urbanism journey through her thesis, Global Cities and Environmental Justice, which critically examined Rome’s waste mismanagement. During her studies, she discovered placemaking as her true passion, recognising its power to transform communities into thriving, inclusive, and sustainable places. Rosaria is dedicated to fostering diverse and vibrant public spaces that inspire creativity, connection, and collaboration. As an Italo-Thai urbanist with life experiences spanning South-East Asia, Australia, and Europe, her multicultural background deeply shapes her work. This journey fuels her mission at Placemaking Europe: to help create cities where everyone feels a sense of belonging and home.
