Dear Placemaking Community,

It is with heavy hearts and profound shock that we convey the heartbreaking news of Jeroen de Leeuw’s passing last Friday. Jeroen held a special place in our network, and his absence leaves us deeply saddened.

Jeroen was a constant presence during our international gatherings with Placemaking Europe. He played a pivotal role in our Pontevedra event last year and was an essential partner in the placemaking activation of Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam. His commitment and contributions were truly remarkable.

In our Placemaking Europe family, we share not only moments of joy but also the weight of sorrow. On behalf of our community, we extend our heartfelt condolences and send a warm placemaking hug to Jeroen’s family, friends, and the many placemakers who had the privilege of collaborating with him.
