Placemaking Germany is a young and growing network that emerged after Placemaking Week Europe 2025, out of the realisation that such a platform did not yet exist in Germany.
With a rapidly evolving landscape of urban initiatives, projects and actors, there is a strong need for better connection and exchange. The motivation has always been there – what was missing was a shared starting point.

The network aims to bring together practitioners, cities, researchers and creatives to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. Core activities include events and happenings, educational formats, joint projects, as well as meetups and exchanges at conferences and exhibitions.

Placemaking Germany is about building momentum, creating synergies and shaping more liveable cities together.
