WHY WE ARE
We believe that true placeshaping emerges from collective input and community-driven output. Places are more than physical spaces; they are reflections of the people, stories, and aspirations that shape them, and we are committed to ensuring that placemaking is and remains an inclusive process. Through dialogue, creativity, and shared purpose, we aim to inspire positive change.
WHAT WE DO
Established in 2016, revived post-Covid and recently expanded to include an active PCUK Wales branch, we are a volunteer organisation that brings people together to learn, share, inspire and connect through:
Field Trips: We organise field trips in London and across the UK – opportunities to explore examples of placeshaping, discuss best practice, and address challenges faced in the field. Open to all members – a safe space for open discussion and constructive debate.
Socials: We host regular gatherings to foster informal connection and collaboration. These events allow members to build relationships and share ideas beyond the day-job.
Global Connections: As an affiliate of PlacemakingX and Placemaking Europe, we connect with professionals worldwide, exchanging insights, amplifying our impact, and staying engaged with international trends in place.
