Wrocław is one of Poland’s best-connected cities, making it reachable from a variety of different places–whether it’s from Amsterdam, Berlin, London or anywhere else in Europe and the world, getting to Wrocław won’t be a hassle. You’ll be prepared for Placemaking Week Europe 2026 thanks to high-speed trains, the local international airport, and even long-distance buses, making the trip worthwhile.
By air
One advantage of travelling by air to Wrocław is the Nicolaus Copernicus Wrocław International Airport (WRO), which makes flying to and from Wrocław easy. The airport is 10km away from the city, and there is a direct bus line (line 106) that takes you to the city centre in approximately 30-40 minutes.

If you prefer to take the scenic route, you’re in luck, as Wrocław is also easily accessible by train. One of Poland’s main railway hubs, it links seamlessly with other major European cities.

By car
Getting to Wrocław by car is straightforward and flexible. The city is well connected through major motorways.
- From Berlin, the journey takes around 3/4 hours via the A15/A18
- From Prague, the journey takes around 4 hours
- From Vienna, the journey takes around 5/6 hours via Brno
Parking in Wrocław is available, however, limited due to the historic centre where parking is paid. If you need a car when you get there, there are car rental companies at the airport.
By long-haul bus
Another way of getting to Wrocław is by a long-haul bus. For a budget-friendly option, FlixBus offers various routes from many European cities. By bus, you have the option to arrive either at Wrocław Bus Station or Wrocław Airport.

There are also regional and intercity Polish buses (PKS buses) that connect larger Polish cities, such as Warsaw, Kraków, Poznań, Gdańsk and Katowice with Wrocław, which are affordable and run multiple times per day.
