2025 has been an incredible year. We grew our team, expanded our programmes, connected more practitioners than ever, and hosted an amazing edition of Placemaking Week Europe in Reggio Emilia.
Some people tell us that Placemaking Europe seems like a well-funded organisation. We take that as a compliment, because we do a lot with very little, since we are a tiny team supporting a big movement.
Despite our portfolio of projects and the success of Placemaking Week Europe 2025, investing in our community and experimentation without sponsors or brands backing us comes with a cost. While some programmes are thriving, others take resources and effort. Some get less partnerships than expected, others take time and research to launch.
Our goal for this year is to raise 20,000 euros to help us build a small, but essential financial cushion that allows us to stay true to our values and keep working while upholding the principles that define our community.
For that purpose we’re launching 50 special tickets for this years Placemaking Week Europe 2026 in Wrocław.
