Mustafa Sherif
Hopeless to Hotspot Podcast
with Sandra Poelman

How can we design inclusive cities that truly welcome everyone, especially children? In this episode of the Hopeless to Hotspot Podcast, Sandra speaks with Mustafa Sherif, an urban planner and advocate for child-friendly cities, about how designing with children in mind leads to more inclusive, playful, and vibrant urban environments for all. Drawing on his work in Sweden, he reflects on the importance of balancing structured urban systems with spontaneity and public life, and shares how play, movement, and community involvement can reshape how cities are experienced and designed.
