Official Discussion: Systemic placemaking to tackle urban challenges

This session will kick off with a presentation of the agenda, setting the stage for a dynamic discussion on the future of placemaking in cities across Europe. Reflections from the Cities in Placemaking programme will be shared, followed by a Mayor’s Discussion, featuring city representatives from The Hague, Rotterdam, Wroclaw, Reggio Emilia, Budapest, and Trencin, who will share insights on their progress, challenges, and ambitions in embedding placemaking in urban development. The session will include an open Q&A, inviting participants to engage with speakers and contribute to the conversation on how to make placemaking a systemic and transformative force in cities.
