Getting from one venue to the next one, taking a walk or just visitng, moving around the city is easy, whether you prefer to pedal, ride the bus, or park and stroll. Here’s a quick guide to help you move around smoothly during Placemaking Week Europe.
🚲 Bike Sharing with RideMovi
Want to explore like a local? Hop on a RideMovi bike! During the festival, you can enjoy two free 20-minute rides on electric or traditional bicycles with the code WEEK20 (valid September 23–26). Just enter the code in the RideMovi app and you’re good to go. After your free time is up, the regular rates apply.
💡 Tip: You’ll need to activate the code while you’re inside Reggio Emilia’s operating area (check the app map).
🚴♀️ Bike Rental
If you prefer to rent for longer, head to Bicibox at the historic train station. You’ll find everything you need to set off on your own cycling adventure.
🚌 Public Transport
Reggio Emilia has a simple and reliable bus network running daily from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. You can even buy your ticket directly on board with a credit or debit card. Bonus: after your third trip of the day, the rest of your rides are free!
At night, there’s Aladino, a handy app-based shuttle running until 12:30 a.m. (and until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays) for just €2.50 per ride.
🚗 Parking & Free Shuttle
Arriving by car? Skip the city traffic by leaving your vehicle at one of the park-and-ride lots (Volo, Le Querce, Cecati, Via Rosa Luxemburg, Polveriera, Funakoshi, or Giglio). From there, a free Minibù shuttle will whisk you right into the historic center. Just grab your free ticket at the lot entrance.
