Stephanie Happ is an urban planner (Dipl.-Ing.) with an interdisciplinary background in spatial planning (TU Vienna) and human geography (B.Sc., LMU Munich). With professional experience ranging from research projects on climate vulnerability in Austrian municipalities to working in urban planning offices and civil society organizations, she brings both analytical and practical skills to the table. She also is a Street Dancer and wrote her master’s thesis, “Placemaking through Street Dance – Potentials and Challenges for the Public Spaces in Vienna,” which reflects her motivation to connect her academic path with her role as a street dance practitioner in public space. By combining embodied urban practice and creative placemaking, she aims to contribute to more vibrant and dynamic cities. Currently, she is an intern at Placemaking Europe and is particularly excited to contribute to the recent and upcoming projects.
