The City at Eye Level and Placemaking Training 2024 (Dutch)

14 March @ 9:00 am 28 March @ 5:30 pm CET

Training days on Thursday 14, 21 and 28 March 2023

Cities around the world each face their own social and economic challenges that can contribute to the quality of public space. But how do we create great streets and places where people want to be? Join our City at Eye Level training and learn how to improve cities, streets and places by developing a people-centered approach to placemaking. Learn more about analyzing places with the place game, develop specific strategies using the City at Eye Level toolbox and get inspired to create amazing streets and places for and by people.

Are you an urban planner, project manager, designer, developer, investor, city maker, place maker, community leader, manager or property owner working to make your city more inclusive, interactive, sustainable or functional on a human scale? Do you want to learn by doing to create beautiful streets, places, parks, squares, playgrounds and other public spaces in areas? Places built around social life, where the users feel at home, involved in co-designing and programming the place and also helping to build community? Then we have a fantastic training for you!

FOR WHOM?

Improving cities, creating beautiful streets and places for people are increasingly on the global agenda. But how can we organize this properly in practice? Join the City at Eye Level & Placemaking training, where you will learn together with other Dutch participants about public space on a human scale, placemaking and place management, bicycle-friendly cities, tactical urbanism and how to implement long-term strategies for cities.

STIPO previously organized City at Eye Level & Placemaking masterclasses, workshops and place games in Vancouver, Barcelona, Stockholm, Thessaloniki, Rome, Bratislava, Darmstadt, Kuala Lumpur, Lebanon, The Hague, Utrecht, Groningen, Dordrecht and Delft. In addition to these on-site activities, we also organize these masterclasses in Amsterdam, of which this is the first edition that is completely Dutch!
