In the framework of PlaceCity, a project funded by JPI Urban Europe, we would like to explore and discuss the potential of placemaking as a tool for creating more inclusive, just and sustainable cities.
The PlaceCity symposium spans two ONLINE days, June 10th from 14.00 – 16.00 CEST (UTC+02) and June 11th from 14.30 – 16.00 CEST (UTC+02). During the first session on June 10th, we will explore the possibilities and limitations of co-creating sustainable urban areas for and by citizens. During the second session on June 11th, we will explore how to improve social inclusion and participation in cities by engaging young people. During both sessions national and international placemaking projects will be showcased and contextualized with international placemakers, planners and civil servants through different panel discussions. The PlaceCity Symposium is hosted by Nabolagshager, and supported by Placemaking Europe, Eutropian and other PlaceCity partners.
