The Placemaking Europe Kids group is currently developing a research project to collect data on what children think about the city and the spaces surrounding them. We conduct interviews with children to hear, understand and disseminate their point of view. By collecting data from different cities in Europe, the group aspires to compare the results and create a map of the level of child-friendliness of the cities throughout the continent according to children’s point of view; in order to ensure that children are taken seriously and play a real role in the democratic process of area development. Currently, we are creating a pilot project to test our research methodology. We are looking for active caregivers to ask to children (between 6 and 12 years old) the following question: “WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WERE THE BOSS/MAYOR OF YOUR CITY?” If you want to contribute, we kindly ask you to record the answer of the child with a simple video and share it with us through the email placemaking.europe.kids@gmail.com Before sending us the video, we ask you to fill in this form to authorize Placemaking Europe to use the children’s answers for their projects and/or to share the children videos on social media and web pages.
