We are pleased to share with our network, Placemaking in the Western Balkans and Beyond Symposium, an online symposium on sustainable cities through place-led development on May 19th, 2021 | 10:00 - 12:15 Vienna CET , organised by Superwien and the World Bank Group, in cooperation with Placemaking Europe. 

The main goal of the symposium is to share the results of placemaking and place-led projects with multipliers and an international audience from the Balkan region and establish an interregional knowledge exchange of experiences. By presenting a selection of placemaking tools and sharing experiences from the practical work, we will jointly experience and discuss on how the tools can be replicated in different urban contexts. Another goal is to connect placemakers, architects, urban planners, architects and civil servants from the region and facilitate exchange of knowledge about tools and methodologies.

Placemaking Europe board member Laska Nenova and Roland Krebs, Superwien, will be moderating the panels, with speakers including some leaders of our network, Milena Ivkovic, Helene Gallis, Rozina Spinnoy and our director Ramon Marrades.
