Martin Adler is an economist as well as the founder and CEO of AtAdlerAdvisory which provides analysis and economic advice to the European Commission, the OECD, national and municipal public bodies as well as private enterprises such as Nissan and Dropbox. Martin is also a researcher at the VU University Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute. For his scientific output he has received prizes from the International Transport Economics Association and the German Forum of Regional Sciences. He engages in the public debate through podcasts and articles.

Impact assessment at La Marina de Valencia neighborhood. The past three years, research agenda has been designed according to key policies. Surveys accompany placemaking efforts and reflect visitor satisfaction. Data on footfall and mobility collected through physical counting and via sensors helps design bicycle lanes, walking areas, playground. Quantitative and qualitative data on housing and office rentals warn of potential negative gentrification pressure. Online tools and citizen dialogue provide new ideas so that the harbor can be the pride of Valencia tomorrow. The data and assessments are continuously communicated and made public to provide transparency and accountability to the public.
