Which experience/skills can people of Placemaking Europe reach out to your organisation for?
We have experience transforming public spaces with participatory processes and a strong focus in impact measurement through different tools and techniques. We are aware and work to prevent gentrification and anything that could expand the inequality gap. We work with governments to make public policies for better public spaces.
Describe one of the projects you are most proud of
Rainbow Project (Arcoiris)
We renewed the school "Hroes del Cenepa" (located in the district of El Agustino, Lima) through the painting of murals, games painted on the floors, road signs in the area near the educational center; with the purpose of encouraging, increasing or reducing behaviors, related to the garbage accumulation near the school and the pedestrian experience around the school environment.
While this was happening the School Director told us that more children have enrolled to the school because of the better public space and surroundings. We were not looking for that but we were absolutely encourage with that amazing impact.
Arco Iris Project was promoted by Qroma, a paint company that financed the project through its brand Vencedor and Ocupa Tu Calle, a strategy that promotes the improvement of public spaces.
