Understandably, to really get to know any community (our recommended 1st step in any placemaking process), you must interact and engage the community at hand. Importantly, community members and stakeholders are local experts containing valuable context specific knowledge. Furthermore, engaging the entire community – involving developers and financiers – makes the outcome even more robust and long lasting.
It is our jobs, as placemakers, to create environments that support and motivate these communities to feel comfortable to interact, express their thoughts, and share discourse together.
